National University of Singapore
The National University of Singapore is a publicly-funded autonomous university in Singapore. It is the oldest institutes of higher learning (IHL) in Singapore, founded in 1905. It is also a largest university in the country in terms of student enrolment and curriculum offered. National University of Singapore is also ranked as Asia’s top university by Quaquarelli Symonds University Rankings in 2015 and 2016. National University (NUS) has been ranked among the best in the world by two international ranking systems, the QS World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Nanyang Technological University
NTU is also a publicly-funded university in Singapore, established in 1956, prior to Singapore’s independence from British. NTU has a total undergraduate population of around 24,300. Approximately 80% of undergraduates are Singaporean citizens and permanent residents. Singapore Management University
Singapore Management University is another of Singapore’s best known institutions, ranking among the world’s leading providers of education in the fields of accounting and finance, computer science, economics, law and statistics. Established on 12 January 2000, it has a total enrollment of about 8,800 undergraduate and postgraduate students. It comprises six Schools offering undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programmes in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Financial Services, Accountancy, Economics, Information Systems Management, Law and the Social Sciences. SMU has entered the QS Asian universities ranking for the first time at 60th place in 2016. SMU is second in the list of best colleges and universities in Singapore.
Singapore University of Technology and Design
Developed in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Singapore University of Technology and Design is Singapore’s fourth university. The University has also collaborated with Zhejiang University and Singapore Management University and is known for its unique academic programme that has elements of styles from both the east and the west. It also offers an MIT–SUTD Dual master’s degree programme, a full-time programme leading to a degree from both MIT and SUTD. SUTD is third in the list of best colleges and universities in Singapore.
SIM University is also a public-funded university which was established in 2005. SIM University offers more than 50 academic programmes through four academic schools i.e. School of Art & Social science, School of Business, School of Human Development & Social Service and School of Science & Technology. SIM is fourth in the list of best colleges and universities in Singapore.
Management Development Institute of Singapore
Founded in 1956, Management Development Institute of Singapore is the oldest non-profit professional institute in Singapore. Its academic program includes Business and Management, Engineering, Fashion Design, Information Technology, Health and life Science, Psychology, Mass communications and Hospitality Management. These programmes are offered in collaboration with universities in Australia, France, the United Kingdom and USA. James Cook University Singapore
James Cook University Singapore is a branch of James Cook University based in Australia. It was founded in 2003 and ranked among the top universities in the world and is a leading tropical research university in Australia. It has fully adopted Australian curriculum. It is currently offering pathways, education, counseling, psychology, environment science, information technology, and tourism & hospitality courses. Curtin University of Technology, Singapore
Curtin University of Singapore is the second off-shore campus of Australia’s Curtin University. It was established in 2008 by Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for trade and industry, S.Iswaran and by the Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, Doug Chester.
